After a few years’ break, we returned to the UK with the 2025 Spare Parts Business Platform—Power of 50.

Held on 12 March at the Aston University Conference Centre in Birmingham, this edition was presented in collaboration with Baxter Planning, Partful, and Syncron.

The event brought together industry leaders to share insights, spark innovation, and drive progress in an era of rapid technological advancements and growing sustainability demands. The UK service and maintenance sector continues to stand out, emphasizing predictive maintenance, sustainability, and regulatory compliance—key priorities that were central to our discussions.

• Transforming data into predictive maintenance success: Experts emphasized the importance of harnessing existing data to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and minimize overstocking risks. Integrating predictive analytics can improve efficiency and service reliability while reducing operational disruptions.
• Building resilient and flexible supply chains: The continued impact of supply chain disruptions was a major topic. Industry leaders explored strategies such as diversification, digital transformation, and enhanced supplier collaboration to mitigate risks and ensure long-term resilience.
• Sustainability through refurbished parts: With sustainability at the forefront, the role of refurbished parts in the aftermarket sector was thoroughly explored. Discussions highlighted how manufacturers can integrate refurbished components into their spare parts strategies to reduce costs, lower environmental impact, and enhance overall supply chain resilience.
